First off, thank you for accepting me as a friend on your Facebook. I was very sad indeed to hear your last on-air broadcast over a major radio broadcasting network. Your message on health and freedom is needed now more than ever before. You’ve been on the air for 8 years but I only discovered you 2 years ago. I’ll never forget the first time I heard you on KIXW Talk 960 in the High Desert of So. California. Your passion and enthusiasm were quite evident and the high energy and pace of your show was quite enthralling. I was hooked from Day One and I became a faithful listener from that day forth.
You have inspired and educated me immensely. It was because of you I decided to try raw milk and make it a part of my diet once again. When you mentioned Antoine Béchamp, it rang as a familiar name that I had heard in the past from my previous healthy lifestyle endeavors. It was because of you that I went back and started reading again about Béchamp and the Law of the Terrain, re-educating myself once again. When you proclaimed that you hosted “the fastest two hours of healing information on radio,” you weren’t kidding! You offered up so much information, and with my growing appetite for health knowledge, I devoured it ravenously.
It was because of you that I went to the 2009 Health Freedom Expo in Long Beach, CA, where my wife and I introduced ourselves to you, and you, in turn, introduced us to Christopher Barr, Bill Tufts of Orange TKO, and the other sponsors that were there with you. We gratefully gave them our support. We learned so much at that Expo and meeting you was the highlight of it all for me. We came to see you once again this year, as well, and it was another fantastic experience for both of us.
We really appreciated your truth on the hoax that was the so-called H1N1 Flu Pandemic and your warnings against accepting the H1N1 Flu Vaccine and the regular Flu Shot, as well. Having had a family member fall victim to Guillain-Barre Syndrome right after having a regular flu shot, we fully believed what we were hearing on your show about the connection between the two. And, we personally know two women who lost their mid-term fetuses within 2-4 weeks of getting the H1N1 Vaccine. People need to know this kind of truth!

Urgent message from the ANH regarding Waxman's FTC supplement attack within The Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009 (HR4173)
April 27, 2010 - The American public is becoming fed up with “sneak” provisions tacked onto largely unrelated bills that are likely to pass. A glaring recent example was tacking onto the Healthcare bill a complete change to student loans. Often the “sneak” provision is so buried that hardly anyone is aware of it. The Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009 (H.R. 4173), recently passed in the House of Representatives, includes language going far beyond finance inserted by Congressman Henry Waxman (D-CA). This language could be used for an end run around the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), the legislation that governs dietary supplement regulation by the FDA. The Senate is expected to vote on its finance “reform” bill as early as this weekend. We need your help to ensure that it is not amended to include a similar provision going far beyond finance that could be used against supplements. Please take action now. TAKE ACTION Congressman Waxman is well known as an opponent of the dietary supplement industry. This is somewhat ironic: his district includes Hollywood and presumably many of his closest supporters are health store shoppers and supplement users. Most of these people simply don’t know what Waxman is doing in this area. This powerful Congressman, chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee (which includes health as a subcommittee), would appear to want supplements regulated like drugs, a step that would effectively eliminate them. He is determined and has stated: “One enduring truth about Washington is that no issue is ever settled for good.” ANH-USA has been on alert to see how Waxman would use his committee chairmanship to strike at DSHEA. He is very clever and we knew a covert attack was a possibility. A direct attack on supplements would take the form of an amendment to DSHEA, since that legislation governs FDA regulation of supplements. In this case, Waxman has left DSHEA alone, and has instead inserted language in the Wall St. “reform” bill that gives the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) important new powers that could be used to circumvent key supplement protections in DSHEA. TAKE ACTION To see how this would work, let’s see how the FTC operates today. Its chief mission is to combat commercial fraud. It has full authority to pursue companies making fraudulent claims. But the FTC can’t go beyond that, can’t set other regulatory requirements, without advance approval of Congress. The FTC once had this regulatory “rule-making” authority. It lost it in the 1980’s because Congress thought the Agency was abusing it. At the present time, if the FTC moves against a dietary supplement company for false or misleading advertising, the FTC typically requires the company, as part of a consent decree agreed to by both parties, to back up its claims by undertaking at least two random controlled human trials. This is done on a case-by-case basis and is legal because the targeted company has agreed to it. If the FTC had general rulemaking authority, which Waxman’s language reinstates, the Agency would be expected to create a new legal requirement for all supplement companies. Such companies would have to perform at least two of these human studies before making any claims for their products. Why should we care whether supplement companies are required to perform two random controlled human trials for each product? Because such trials take a long time and would be beyond the financial means of most supplement companies. Even if the companies could find the money, the FTC could require more and more costly versions of these studies, or more of these studies. At each stage, fewer supplements would be available, and those available would cost more and more, until they became as costly as drugs. TAKE ACTION Supplements are not drugs. In most cases, drugs are non-natural and therefore patentable substances. Why patentable? Because no company will spend a billion dollars on studies and FDA approval trials without the monopoly provided by the patent. To insist that supplements be treated like drugs is really to sound the death knell for the supplement industry, something that drug companies would be delighted to see, because they know that supplements are their chief potential competition, are often more effective than drugs, are often less toxic, and are always much less expensive. Supplements are already regulated by the FDA under DSHEA. If the Waxman provision is included in the final Wall St “reform” bill, the FTC will gain the power to override the limited protections for supplements that already exist under DSHEA. The FDA would still have to respect DSHEA, but the FTC would not be so constrained. Five unelected FTC commissioners would issue binding regulations in a wide range of areas, including the regulation of dietary supplements. And companies that did not comply with the new FTC rules could effectively be put out of business. According to renowned constitutional attorney Jonathan Emord, “The provision removing the ban on FTC rulemaking without Congressional preapproval contained in H.R. 4173 invites the very same irresponsible over-regulation of the commercial marketplace that led Congress to enact the ban in the 1980s. FTC has no shortage of power to regulate deceptive advertising; this bill gives it far more discretionary power than it needs, inviting greater abuse and mischief from an agency that suffers virtually no check on its discretion.” The bottom line is that FTC would be given power to regulate areas they don’t understand, and their first order of business would likely be to regulate supplements, an area far outside their area of expertise. The Senate Wall St “reform” bill, the Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2010 (S. 3217), doesn’t contain the Waxman provision yet. But we know that Senator Rockefeller (D-WV) may offer an amendment including Waxman’s language. Please help us stop this. Please take action now to help us maintain access to low cost, high quality supplements. Tell your senators not to support any amendments that give FTC unchecked power to over-regulate areas they don’t understand, including dietary supplements.

Dr. Buttar takes on PBS Frontline in Vaccine Wars
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--What price journalistic integrity? That may well be the question that PBS needs to answer after this week’s airing of its top rated show Frontline. Entitled "Vaccine Wars," the episode offered a decidedly one-sided viewpoint on the issue of vaccine safety. Dr. Rashid Buttar, a renowned physician who has received worldwide attention for his innovative and groundbreaking work in ridding the human body of toxicities that cause illness and disease, gave the program's producers access to his clinic, his patients, and himself.

As Buttar recollects, "Frontline's film crew spent over seven hours in my offices, extensively interviewed three of my patients, and then spent almost three hours interviewing me one-on-one." Not one single second of this was shown on-air. Instead, Frontline recycled dated video footage previously released on the internet. Frontline violated Buttar’s trust and wasted his valuable time; producing a slanted report designed to intimidate and scare the public.
While disappointed at their lack of ethics, Dr. Buttar is not really surprised. He and his colleagues continue to crusade against a medical profession that hides behind antiquated theories and ineffective, costly treatments; and media outlets such as Frontline who further the agenda of the lucrative vaccine industry.
Buttar also questions what role lobbying by the U.S. Department of Heath & Human Services played in Frontline’s decision to air such a skewed report. In a recent Readers' Digest interview, HHS Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, admitted to meeting with media in an effort to undermine vaccine detractors saying, "We have reached out to media outlets to try to get them to not give the views of these people equal weight in their reporting to what science has shown and continues to show about the safety of vaccines.”
Concerns about vaccines are legitimate and growing. Once proclaimed as one of greatest achievements of modern medicine, vaccines, their frequency and the combinations, have become the subject of increasing unrest within the medical and scientific community since 1989. Parents questioning the need and the prudence of their child receiving so many shots, and the administration of previously singularly administrated vaccines combined into "super shots" (such as the MMR Triple Shot) are often met with scorn, derision, and admonishment from doctors.
The fact is that vaccines do contain dangerous toxic substances. One of the most dangerous of these is mercury, which is present as a preservative in most vaccines, including the flu shot. While many believe mercury was removed from vaccines in 2002, Thimerosal -- or ethyl mercury -- is still used in the manufacturing process of almost all vaccines, but that fact is no longer disclosed on the vaccine labels.
Dr. Buttar is not alone in his Frontline experience; fellow vaccine critics Dr. Jay Gordon and Dr. Robert Sears were also interviewed extensively but then edited out of the piece. "The show made a mockery of journalism," says Buttar, "because it showcased the opinions of a group of "experts," some of whom benefit financially from vaccine developments, while at the same time it minimized the real concerns in question as nothing more than unsubstantiated hysteria." Why didn’t they show a single physician who agreed with the parents who were against vaccinations?
Frontline purposely pitted pro-vaccine doctors, painted as tireless advocates for children, against anti-vaccine parents who were portrayed as selfish, irrational and paranoid individuals lacking medical knowledge and common sense. The end result was a biased piece of tabloid journalism that only serves to further confuse, frighten and divide those who question vaccines from those who blindly follow medical rhetoric; creating needless controversy rather than an intelligent forum for discussion.
Dr. Buttar remains steadfast in the challenge he made during his unaired interview with Frontline. ”Tell the NIH, CDC, FDA or any vaccine manufacturer that I publicly challenge them to select any 20 cases of autism, send them all to an independent university and have that university’s independent pediatric neurologists evaluate all 20 children. Let those neurologists identify the 10 most severe cases and I will take them on as patients and treat them using my methods. Let the other 10 cases be treated with whatever conventional “standard of care” treatment they see fit. But it all must be filmed and followed so that the world can determine the truth for itself,” says Buttar. ”After having treated over a thousand patients in my own clinic, and having tens of thousands of children treated using our methodologies all over the world, I already know what the results will be. The problem is – so do they!”
