It's World Cancer Day! According to the World Health Organization, cancer is “the uncontrolled growth and spread of cells. It can affect almost any part of the body. The growths often invade surrounding tissue and can metastasize to distant sites. Many cancers can be prevented by avoiding exposure to common risk factors, such as tobacco smoke. In addition, a significant proportion of cancers can be cured, by surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy, especially if they are detected early.” In other words, the WHO says "don't smoke and see your Big Pharma oncologist if you get cancer anyway." We'll talk real cancer causes and real (natural) cures - the kind that the government never acknowledges.

Incredible as it sounds, the media is reporting on drug shortages, claiming that there are not enough drugs in development. Is this just an excuse for the Federal Government to get into the drug-making business? Has USA, Inc. now become USP, Inc. (United States of Pharma)? I've looked, but I can find no enumerated power written into the Constitution way back in 1787, unless it was written in invisible ink. Claims that it embedded in the limitless general welfare clause can only be made by those stuffed with cotton in their ears from FDA-approved pill bottles. If anything, there are too many drugs. I shall endeavor to explain why government-manufactured drugs are likely more dangerous than the one we already have.

And finally, it's time for this week's Moment of DUH! Whenever there is a funded scientific study that reveals the obvious - it's time for this special moment. Topic? Childhood obesity.You'll never believe what causes it!
