"The U.S. Military Faces Psychiatric Death Threat" by Shane Ellison

Chad was a Marine Scout Sniper who served two tours in Iraq. Upon being honorably discharged as a Sgt. in 2007, he “summoned the courage” to ask for therapy in dealing with the images and emotions that gnawed on him from being dropped into combat. Like so many of his peers, therapy was bypassed for “meds.” Similar to fighting in Fallujah and Ramadi, he never expected that his life would be threatened by psychiatric drugs.

After a single day “of following doctor’s orders,” Chad felt things would be looking up. He was happy, seemed to be more cognizant, and the weight of daily struggles was lifted. But, as he describes it, things “quickly flip-flopped.”

“As time passed, I began changing into someone I wasn’t. Once a focused, motivated sniper, my reaction time became stagnant. My thought process became dry and lethargic, while my independence drifted. I became unable to make decisions on my own and reluctantly found myself relying on others in ways I had never done before. I had become a sort of medicated drone. All emotion turned into apathy and I found myself lackadaisical and eventually felt meaningless. That’s where it got really bad for me, and it’s hard to talk about now…It was as if my brain chemistry went whack.”

This bleak scenario is becoming all too common for today’s military. The psychiatric death threat is becoming riskier than combat! In 2010, Time magazine reported that, “During the month of January, more soldiers committed suicide than were killed by enemy fire in Afghanistan and Iraq combined.” Mystified by the death toll among troops, Army Chief of Staff George Casey said that, "The fact of the matter is, we just don't know why suicides have increased.”

The suicide trend is not inexplicable, and must be highlighted if troops like Chad are to be saved from the psychiatric death threat. Like the loss of power to a car that results from a broken fuse, mental circuitry is shut off with each and every dose of psychiatric medication. The latest cloning techniques and laboratory methods show this to be the result of “neurotransmitter hijacking,” which scrambles brain circuitry, leaving users like Chad feeling “dry and lethargic,” in times of deep emotional turmoil.

Once neurotransmitter hijacking takes place, users become fully under the spell of psychiatry. The brain can become so scrambled that all normal reality and reason are overwritten by a new confusing and violent agenda. A new personality arises – one with homicidal and suicidal tendencies. Commenting on the biochemical fiasco, CNN publicized that, “Antidepressant drugs actually create a perilous brain imbalance.” Chad barely escaped.

“Rebounding on and off the drugs, I reached the darkest point in my life, strangely enough at home. I packed up my ghillie suit – the same thing I used to camouflage myself as a sniper in enemy territory – and hiked into the wilderness late at night, where no one would find me. I held my .45 cal pistol while attempting the unspeakable…many things raced through my mind, and at the forefront were feelings of worthlessness and my inability to relate to anyone, even myself. As a combat, decorated Marine, it’s not something I’m proud of. But it’s a reality that seems to be more common among my peers, and it’s scary as hell...To this day, I’m not sure what stopped me, probably an act of God. I walked backed vowing to reclaim my life – with everything I had. And, since my mental health declined so drastically once on the meds, I felt that getting off them was the first place to start.”

No doubt, combat leads to emotional stress beyond what the rest of us can concede. Listening to the combat experience of Chad paints painful images in my own mind. It’s no wonder indelible scars are left on the minds of our troops. And rather than help them cope, they are being medicated to death in a large scale experiment that goes ignored. Former military psychiatrist, Dr. Grace Jackson, substantiated this stating that, “It’s really a large-scale experiment. We are experimenting with changing people’s cognition and behavior.”

Once off the medications, Chad’s escape came from getting back to basics – really basic. He starts each day with rigorous exercise and ends it with a deep sleep, induced by the amino acid L-tryptophan and valerian herb. His diet is fortified with whey isolate twice per day with meals that consist of unprocessed foods. Sugar and alcohol have been reduced to an absolute minimum. Sauna treatments are regular, and real therapy comes from writing and talking to others who share his experience, as well as giving back in the form of support. He knows his story is only “one of thousands” and that other veterans need help.

Today, Chad has earned his bachelor’s degree – with honors – in a record 2.5 years. At the same time, he founded a Veterans center, which serves as a hub at his Alma mater to offer support in all matters that relate to being a vet. And when he can, he helps others heed his warning about the military death threat: “Psychiatrists under contract with the Veteran Affairs – in my opinion – are legal drug dealers who almost took my life.”

Prozac broke her heart and stomped that mother flat

Headline: Antidepressant Use Tied to Cardiac Death in Women "Women who use antidepressants appear to be at heightened risk for sudden cardiac death, although the exact nature of the link remains unclear, researchers say." Do SSRI medications take away depression in women only to then break their heart?

Got drugs? In reality, one of the best things that can replace depression is joy. The root of extreme sadness can be found in many things, including nutritional deficiencies. First and foremost, it is important to understand that depression is one extreme swing of the pendulum which often travels back to anger with stops at frustration in between.

It appears to be the human condition, solved not by drugs but by realization and surrender. From a homeopathic perspective, the remedies are relatively simple:

If you find yourself depressed, reach for Sepia instead of Zoloft. If it's anger that has you in its grip, homeopathic Stramonium is much preferred to violent self-destruction. There is even a homeopathic remedy for frustration: Argentum nitricum. If depression is not chronic and merely the result of the loss of a loved one or other special relationship, reach for a dose of Ignatia.

I have found that depression is often the result of not knowing your mission or purpose in life. It is understandably difficult to maintain happiness while lost on a journey to destinations unknown.

I will concede that psychiatric meds can take away the awareness of such pain, but they are not capable of filling the void made vast by Vitamin L deficiency. Vitamin L? Love. Hmmmm. From where does love originate?

When it is thought to be external to yourself, it is easy to be misdirected into pale shadows of that which is truly divine - that which should be bubbling up from within.

Boredom is another path to depression. It has been said that boredom can only occur in the absence of service to self and others. A great route "out" of depression is through the path of service. I do not write of "compulsory" service, which is a form of slavery, but of voluntary service, which is rooted in freedom.

Ladies, antidepressants can break your heart. Consider cod liver oil for the depression and Hawthorn Berry Syrup for the heart.

Another thing that can lead to depression is slavery. For that, freedom is the antidote.

Healing PTSD in the Troops and the Homeopathic Revolution on the RSBell Radio Show

Radio broadcast on Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 1 PM to 3 PM EDT: How can a government supposedly of the people, by the people and for the people, drug the people so thoroughly? When they send our military men and women into harm's way, why must they also manipulate their brain/body chemistry with synthetic pharmaceutical poisons approved and unapproved by FDA? It makes no sense to poison those who are charged with defending this nation from attack, unless pharmaceutical dependency is a desired outcome of the War on Terror. Only "military intelligence" could conclude that PTSD is evidence of a psychiatric drug deficiency. We've got to do better by the men and women who put their lives on the line in defense of liberty. If we wait for government bureaucrats to correct the error of their ways, we will have sacrificed another generation of warriors needlessly to the aims of the pharmaceutical industrial complex. Only you can prevent this from continuing because most politicians appear to indulge in the very same medicines force-fed to the troops...

The Robert Scott Bell Show cherishes the principles that strengthen our understanding and practical application of freedom and healing. Where other talk shows leave off, the Robert Scott Bell Show is just getting started. Perspective on Depression in the Teenage Wasteland

Headline: One in 12 U.S. teens report suffering from depression "Half of the 2.1 million teens noted in the survey as depressed said their condition had seriously interfered with their ability to cope and operate normally in their daily lives." When does depression not exist? When you know who you are and why you are here. This is exactly the struggle a teenager must undergo on the way to adulthood. In much of western culture, unfortunately, the rites of passage are watered down to mere traditional rituals devoid of any real impact on self-identity. What in life holds real value? Is it cheap plastic toys and video games from China, or is there deeper meaning to our existence on planet earth? I would hazard a guess that there are more depressed adults than teenagers, simply because adults have had a longer time to figure out that they do not know who they are or why they are here. So as more adults turn to SSRI medication, what are we to do with the children?

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Terry Cline said that "Appropriate mental health care can help their child recover and thrive."

What is appropriate? If there are any psychiatric conflicts of interest, you can be sure that "appropriate" equals drugs. Of course, the drugs take us further away from who we are and why we are here.

Sometimes looking at a problem from a different angle provides perspective that cannot be gotten in any other way. What is it that actually works against us determining our identity and reason for being? It's the Big "G" again. The more certain of who you are and why you are here, the less likely you are to depend upon government for anything. It is the necessity of every government to limit the consciousness of its citizens in order to grow unabated.

Therefore, if self awareness is your goal, perhaps declaring your independence from that which desires to keep you unaware needs some consideration. The same plethora of worthless choices available to us because of our over-emphasis on crass materialism are the same choices that allow for the greatest leaps in learning about ourselves and the reason we are here.

It's not difficult to recognize the value of life when you are born into an impoverished, dangerous land where your life can end at any moment. The real challenge is to recognize life's value when your only decision on a day to day basis is whether to play video games or head to the drive-thru for a snack. It's depressing to be a teenager (or an adult) with choices like that. No wonder they need to be drugged, they lack nutrition. Does that make any sense to you?
