Julie Gerberding Primed BIG PHARMA’S Pump with Flu and HPV Vaccines

(vactruth.com) The most recent in a long list of government bureaucrats to leave the public dole and take up the high-paying cause of Big Pharma is none other than former head of the CDC Julie Gerberding. One year and one day from the date of departure from the Taxpayer payroll, Ms. Gerberding takes the reins as president of the vaccine division of the principle descendant of I.G. Farben: Merck Pharmaceuticals.

The revolving door between the Department of Health and Human Services and the pharmaceutical industrial complex is legend – and it swings both ways. Current head of the FDA, Margaret Hamburg, served on the board of directors for Henry Schein, Inc., manufacturer of mercury dental amalgams, in between her stints with the Clinton and now Obama administrations. Therefore it should surprise no one that the FDA, despite mercury’s known neurotoxicity, in 2009 ruled that mercury amalgams are really not so bad.

While Hamburg’s return to the federal bureaucratic oligarchy has already paid dividends to the industry she left, Gerberding’s departure should raise conflict-of-interest concerns for anyone wanting a CDC free of undue influence from Merck and other vaccine manufacturers.

A long time proponent of drug and vaccine intervention, Dr. Gerberding earned the nickname “Chicken Little” during her tenure at CDC for claiming that each successive flu season might be the one that puts the 1918 Spanish Influenza to shame. Yet there has always been a strange cognitive dissonance in her message.

In between vaccine promotional efforts during the H5N1 Bird Flu hype of 2006, The News Tribune in Tacoma Washington caught her admitting on April 15 of that year:

“There is no evidence it will be the next pandemic,” Dr. Julie Gerberding, head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, said of avian flu. There is “no evidence it is evolving in a direction that is becoming more transmissible to people.”

One wonders, is it fringe to ask why mainstream medical reporters find it uninteresting to follow up on such statements from the head of the CDC? Especially considering this statement, specifically, contradicted most of her other official pronouncements that stressed potential end-of-the-world influenza scenarios. Even paid vaccine advocate Paul A. Offit (Children’s Hospital Philadelphia) admitted at the time that H5 viruses have been around for 100 years and never caused a pandemic and likely never will.

Two newer drugs benefit the most from the annual CDC-sky-is-falling-pronouncements: Tamiflu and Relenza. Due to CDC’s unwavering allegiance to the products of Big Pharma, billions of dollars in Taxpayer funds have been transferred to the drug industry for stockpiling these medicines that may only shorten duration of viral infection by ½ to 1 day. Warnings about delirium and other abnormal behavior (some resulting in fatal outcomes) coupled with limited data proving effectiveness seem to have been ignored by CDC’s leadership.

Outside of those two blockbuster drugs for influenza, it had become apparent that the future profitability of the pharmaceutical industry rests heavily on the growth of its vaccine divisions. Increasingly, that growth had grown incredibly dependent upon government health organizations and their ability to foment fear in the lay populace.

Why would Merck want to hire someone so schizophrenic on the issue of annual influenza outbreaks? One likely scenario has Gerberding helping institutionalize the annual flu hype, which became quite the bonanza for vaccine manufacturers at a time when the new drug pipeline had stalled out. With very few blockbuster drugs on the horizon, existing, more profitable drugs were all too close to having to compete with generics.

Julie Gerberding serves her future master well Gerberding’s January 2004 Report to Congress “Prevention of Genital Human Papillomavirus Infection” paved the way for eventual approval for Merck’s Gardasil vaccine, guaranteeing billions in profits for her future employer. Perhaps the vaccine presidency is Julie’s reward for cementing the relationship between government and Merck via the CDC, the agency that behaves as the de facto marketing arm of the vaccine industry.

Another gift to Merck under Gerberding’s management has been the CDC’s continual denial that there is any link between the mercury-based preservative, thimerosal, and autism on the small scale; and vaccinations and autism on the large scale. Recent CDC reports place the incidence of autism at 1 in 110 children, four times higher than previous estimates. A major key to the viability of future vaccines in the pipeline is the tacit denial of any link of autism to the heavy metal, or vaccines in general, now or in the future.

Julie Gerberding holds a medical degree and a Masters in Public Health, yet she can’t seem to do the math coinciding with a four-fold increase in the number of mandated childhood vaccines since the time autism estimates were ¼ of what they are now. Although she would likely not qualify for a job requiring statistically relevant analysis, her ability to look away from that which is reasonable in assessing vaccine safety is evidently a vital prerequisite for the presidency of Merck vaccines.

Personnel within federal agencies under the auspices of the Department of Health and Human Services, rather than protecting the public, behave as if they work on behalf of the interests of BIG PHARMA.

Now that she is out of the vaccine closet since Merck’s hiring, will Julie Gerberding come clean about her unconscionable denials regarding any link between vaccines and autism, much less the link between the CDC and Merck? Or does she believe that the over-two-billion dollars paid out to families of injured and killed children since passage of the Vaccine Injury Compensation Act is mere coincidence as well?

Biological Reality of Uncensored Swine-Bird-Human Flu Fear Campaign (Part 1)

Headline: Deadly new flu strain erupts in Mexico, U.S. "Scientists were trying to understand why there are so many deaths in Mexico when the infections in the United States seem mild, CDC's Besser said."

Could it have anything to do with the general health of the environment and the people living in it? "Always the germ it is with these biological blowhards." They refuse to see the macrocosm through the microbial pathogens. Don't let this be a deadly mistake for you.

"Most of the dead were aged between 25 and 45, a health official said. It was a worrying sign as seasonal flu can be more deadly among the very young and the very old but a hallmark of pandemics is that they affect healthy young adults."

Why are the "strongest" among us most susceptible? In the post-WW1 timeframe we had young adults coming home after radical chemical munitions exposure, experimental vaccinations and significant nutritional deficiencies. Any of which are enough to make a young human ripe for pathogenic microbial overgrowth. Does history repeat itself?

Young adults in 21st Century Mexico City have grown up in one of the most air polluted cities on planet earth. H5N1 in the Flu Shot? Are vaccine-makers under the delusional influence of Tamilu?

The more you read about the wacky world of vaccine manufacture, the more you realize how insane it all is. It is as if multi-national drug companies, cheered on by government regulatory agencies, can't wait for a "naturally" occurring pandemic. After all, what strengthens their stranglehold on the marketplace better than disease outbreaks accompanied by government-mandated monopolies on treatment?

The business of disease is the perpetuation of the disease-making machinery and the quickest way to Bird Flu is evidently through FDA licensed vaccine manufacturers.

Government loves a crisis. Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have acknowledged recently that the best way to grow government is through crisis. Crisis is opportunity to enslave the masses vulnerable to lies about immunological threats and terrorism. Threats, whether real, imagined or manufactured, should strengthen your resolve about that which you believe or they will likely show you that your belief was merely superficial and not rooted in principle. What does Obama believe in? Seems pretty similar to Bush thus far.

Despite there being no clause in our founding documents to allow government to suspend constitutional protections in the event of crisis, I have yet to see Oprah-Obama rescind the many "threats to civil liberty" executive-ordered into existence by the previous shrubbery-in-chief. It is precisely during emergencies when we find out who has the integrity to uphold the principles of individual liberty. But if your core belief begins with collectivism, it is only a matter of time before the wisdom of our elders, written on hemp paper, are relegated to the trash-pile of a disconnected history.

Many politicians are adept at talking the talk of freedom, but most are charlatans looking for the contact-high that comes with absolute power. Yes, vanity always gets 'em in the end.

Yet, watch those who abandon "claimed" principle in order to save "claimed" principle, much as Bush abandoned the free market in order to save it. Those who never really held to the basic tenets of freedom are revealed to wear the stripes of collectivism in its many forms.

The flu, pandemic or otherwise, can never be prevented by government agencies that pay lip service to natural law, particularly Béchamp's Law of the Terrain.

The only way that government health regulatory agencies can perpetually grow in power and stature (and budget) is to be certain that disease proliferates. If that's not a conflict of interest, then I do not know what one is.

The only way to prevent disease is to manufacture it? They seem a bit too anxious about H5N1. Suspicious is an understatement.

Every-body Run! The Avian Flu Has Got a Gun! Or is that Just the Flu Shot?

Headline: US controls bird flu vaccines over bioweapon fears "...deep inside an 86-page supplement to United States export regulations is a single sentence that bars U.S. exports of vaccines for avian bird flu and dozens of other viruses to five countries designated 'state sponsors of terrorism.'"

Certain countries are not allowed to get the "pandemic" flu shot? That's gotta raise a few eyebrows. Why on earth would you NOT want vaccines to go to everyone if they're so good? Where is the humanitarian aspect of the bird flu shot-to-be? Why don't they want to halt H5N1 in its tracks wherever it is?

"The reason: Fear that they will be used for biological warfare."

The flu shot as a bio-weapon? Why isn't that front page news? I sure hope that Homeland Security and our Defense Secretary is apprised of this potential terrorist scenario. The government would not be so incompetent as to allow a biological-911 to occur, would they? Or maybe they would be:

"When Indonesia's health minister stopped sending bird flu viruses to a research laboratory in the U.S. for fear Washington could use them to make biological weapons, Defense Secretary Robert Gates laughed and called it 'the nuttiest thing' he'd ever heard."

That's comforting. The knowledge of the avian flu shot as a potential bio-terror weapon is printed into U.S. export regulations and our own Defense Secretary calls it "nutty." Is he nuts, incompetent or plain stupid? Perhaps he follows the tradition of earlier Defense Secretaries by holding stock or sitting on the board(s) of Drug/Vaccine makers that stand to make a killing over an Avian Influenza outbreak? The question we are left with is:

"Will the experimental Bird Flu shot prevent or CAUSE Avian flu?"

Remember the shot for Swine Flu? If the regular flu shot is any indication, prepare to defend yourself from assault with a potentially deadly weapon. If you are in New Jersey, the first state to mandate the flu shot for kids, leave now.

Avian Flu Vaccine Strategy Revealed to Be a Farce to Be Reckoned With

Can it get any weirder? Headline: New Avian Flu Vaccine Strategy Proposed "People can be protected against a potential avian flu epidemic by getting advance shots of a vaccine that may or may not be effective against the strain causing the epidemic, British researchers suggest."

It doesn't work against the strain causing the pandemic but it does? Yeah, and I voted for it before I voted against it. Vaccine-makers sound more and more like congressmen every day. Prestigious medical journals certainly would not support such bizarre immunologically-bereft conclusions, would they? Let's check in with the NEJM:

"That apparently daffy strategy is scientifically sound, according to a letter in the Oct. 9 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, because priming people with an old vaccine would make any new vaccine work faster and better."

Huh? That's like saying my new car is faster and better because my old one wouldn't run anyway. What the heck does one have to do with the other?

I suppose that both shots theoretically have something to do with the flu. After that, it gets a little cloudy. Scientists do not know which strain, or even IF a strain will mutate for easy human-to-human transmission. Remember the head of the CDC, Julie Gerberding, admitting that there is no evidence that H5N1 is mutating or even if it will mutate in the future for easier peep to peep transmission.

How severe is this impending flu pandemic?

"We don't believe an influenza is imminent," the spokeswoman said, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with department policy.

Oh really? What happened to the "most severe" threat? This reminds me of the CDC's Julie Gerberding basically admitting that screaming Bird Flu was like shouting "FIRE!" in a crowded theater. Check out what The News Tribune in Tacoma Washington caught her saying on April 15, 2006:

“There is no evidence it will be the next pandemic,” Dr. Julie Gerberding, head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, said of avian flu. There is “no evidence it is evolving in a direction that is becoming more transmissible to people.”

Additionally, H5N1 is not even a new strain as

"The H5N1 virus is not new to science and was responsible for an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Scotland in 1959..."

Gee, everything old is new again. When will the American public get the memo?

This ongoing absurdity makes it seem like perfect sense for welfare scientists to claim that a bird-flu shot with the "wrong" strain in it will make the next bird-flu shot with the "wrong" strain in it work better and faster.

Anybody with a shred of common sense left in them should respond with: "Huh?"

Fear not, for it does not have to make sense as long as Congress approves it and the President signs it. Does anyone even remember the $850 Billion Bailout? It worked just as well as the new Avian Flu strategy will.

Roll up your sleeve or bend over, the end result will be just as bad. The "daffiness" of the Pharmaceutical Industrial Complex never ceases to amaze me. Perhaps some Pretty Amazing Grace will see us through?

'Return of the BIG BIRD-brained FLU-doo voodoo' or 'One Flu Over The Cuckoo's Nest Egg'

The summer movie season is in full swing and sequels are big again this year in films. Not to be left out of sequel mania is the unholy trinity of BIG government, BIG pharma and BIG media with their own pharmaceutical phantasy of phearful phlim-phlammery.

“US health official says flu threat high,” the AP (Associated Propagandaess) “news” headline teased about the mysterious, unnamed figure.

How is “flu threat high” at the beginning of summer more than three months before the official beginning of flu season? Must be science fiction.

“World not fully prepared for flu pandemic: expert,” the Reuters (rotten) “news” headline blazed.

Perhaps they are pulling out of mothballs that old and tired BIG bird-brained flu-doo voodoo story?

“A top U.S. health official says the threat of a flu pandemic remains high,” opened (and opined) the AP “news” story.

Ho-hum.

In order for a “bird flu” threat to remain high it would first have to be high.

“There is no evidence it will be the next pandemic,” no less an “expert” (so called) and “top U.S. health official” than Dr. Julie Gerberding, Director of the U.S. government's Centers for Disease Creationtrol (CDC) is on record telling a large group of health department officials.

“Scientists have identified the H5N1 bird flu virus as a potential candidate that could mutate into a form that spreads easily among people,” blah blah blahs the recent AP “news” story about this tired, old “news” paraded out as new “news”.

Talk about beating a dead horse …

Dr. Gerberding is on record about this H5N1 that there is “no evidence it is evolving in a direction that is becoming more transmissible to people.”

Yet Reuters in their blah blah blah story noted H5N1 could “kill millions of people if it becomes easily transmissible among humans.”

Gerberding again is on record that there is “no reason to think it ever will” pass easily between people. She also noted that those afflicted “were in intense, daily contact with sick flocks, often sharing the same living space,” according to a newspaper report by The News Tribune from the Seattle, Washington area.

Where’s the beef about bird flu besides beefing up bogus bird flu threat reports?

Putting into perspective the total deaths attributed to bird flu worldwide works out to less than one one-hundred-thousandths of one percent per year of worldwide population.

Putting further perspective on this is that that would equate to barely two Americans per year in our population.

Of course, there hasn’t even been a single incidence of bird flu in American birds or humans (bird brained or otherwise) let alone deaths.

Then again, I’m not aware of any Americans “in intense, daily contact with sick flocks, often sharing the same living space.”

To put this in Shakespearean terms it would appear that “Measure For Measure” the bird flu threat is “Much Ado About Nothing” or at least nothing much at all.

Dragging out old movie cliches

“Be afraid, be very afraid” and “It’s b-a-a-a-a-c-k” seem to be the selling points for this latest sequel.

But just who is the mysterious “U.S. health official” and “expert” being trotted out for this attempting to repeat episode?

Oh, FINALLY, there it is farther down in both the “news” stories …

Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s Dr. Julie ‘Chicken Little’ Gerberding with her old “sky is falling” routine again.

“People have very short attention spans and when something is in the news for a while, it becomes old news and then it’s no news,” ‘Chicken Little’ Gerberding blah blah blahed at the beginning of this summer.

“Hmm,” me thoughts to meself, “Tamiflu sales must be down.”

After all, even the FDA finally caught up (a little) with an official warning of the dangers of Tamiflu earlier this year – even if it was years behind official Japanese warnings where the vast majority of Tamiflu usage has occurred.

Sounding more like science phiction now …

One week later …

“Fears of bird flu are receding and sales of the anti-flu drug Tamiflu have slumped,” began the AP “news” story the week following ‘Chicken Little’ Gerberding’s pronouncement of concerns about diminishing public attention to bird flu.

Coincidence?

In a pig’s eye…

This latest “news” article then noted that the makers of Tamiflu were offering a new deal for corporate America to pay a small annual per-employee-fee to reserve doses just in case “a new super-flu strikes”.

Apparently there are no more bridges in Brooklyn to sell.

Sounding more and more like science phiction …

“The U.S. government, in an unusual move, congratulated Roche on the program and helped to publicize it,” propagandized the AP puff piece.

Are they kidding? What is so unusual about U.S. government officials lauding and promoting BIG pharma?

The Roche plan “comes as the federal government also begins a new effort to encourage many businesses to stockpile anti-flu dugs in case of a pandemic,” AP’s propaganda continues about this amazing coincidental timing (NOT!).

It appears that AP is working overtime and very hard to make something obviously orchestrated to appear “desperately random” to quote the serial killer movie ‘Silence of the Lambs’. Are you ready to be one of the silent “lambs to the slaughter”?

Under this latest “new deal” boondoggle companies would pay whatever the going rate happens to be at the time of any later pandemic.

Responding to concerns that “the price conceivably could spike” the CEO of Tamiflu’s maker Hoffman-La Roche, identified as George Abercrombie, rejected that as “a bit of a cynical view” then adding “that is not the way our company operates”.

If you are now throwing up that is not the bird flu but more likely a natural gut reaction.

Tamiflu sales were noted as down almost 20 per cent to “only” about $2 billion.

Don’t you feel sorry for Tamiflu makers Roche and all their high-profile investors including prominent political figures like Donald Rumsfeld?
