Socialism is not the cure for FDA Drug Deficiency Diseases (of which there are none)

Headline: Record numbers on anti-depressants "More than 31 million prescriptions for anti-depressants were written last year - a rise of 6 per cent on the year before, according to Mind."

I suppose this is the result of the futility that many feel in thinking that they can change the behavior of Washington politicians by voting. Soma for the suffering.

Depression is the result of disempowerment, or the illusion thereof. Disempowerment is facilitated by nutritional deficiency and environmental/metabolic toxicity and too many FDA-approved drugs.

It is also a function of not knowing who you are or why you are here. Many of our elected representatives do not know who they are or why they are there, so why should we?

It's apparently much easier to take a drug than to eat well and care for our bodies, especially when we believe we need permission to do so (much less socialized medicine). It's a slave mentality and slavery rightly leads to depression.

The Civil War and Lincoln did not end slavery. The FDA has seen to that by approving mind-altering medication while doing everything not within the scope of its power to prevent people from actually knowing about natural alternatives to depression.

They do this by and large by preventing manufacturers, distributors and retailers of said natural products from relating anything truly meaningful about their use. Why? No competition with the drug monopoly is allowed to be. This is what I refer to as pharmaceutical fascism, although socialism will be just as toxic.

By the way, this could be corrected fairly efficiently with the passage of Dr. Ron Paul's HR 2117, The Health Freedom Protection Act. Tell your health food store. tell your natural doctor. Tell your friends. Tell anyone who believes that food and dietary supplements are a more effective means to maintain true health than drugs. It may be too late for those who think drugs are more vital than nutrients, but tell them anyway, but first pull the cotton balls from their prescription pill bottles out of their ears...

Serving the United States of Venezuela? They Dare Not Call it Freedom

Headline: When did the idea of freedom become a political orphan? "You will scour the presidential nominees' acceptance speeches in vain for any hint that your life is rightfully your own, to be lived in accordance with your beliefs and desires and no one else's."

How did the Tribune allow Steve Chapman publish his observations on the lack of liberty at both the RNC and DNC? Was somebody asleep at the editorial board? I guess some people really are paying attention.

It's sad, I know, but both parties are now testaments to the worship of the state before acknowledgment of the self. America was not founded in order that the state might usurp the sovereignty of the people in pursuit of empire and an ever-growing welfare-dependent citizenry.

Just as the enemies of liberty are, the "empire" of which our Founders warned us is both foreign and domestic. A welfare state is evidence of government's domestic empire over We the People. What is Barack's perspective on America's promise from the DNC point of view?

The "essence of America's promise," Obama declared in Denver, is "individual responsibility and mutual responsibility..."

Where is individual liberty in this equation? It sounds like he would like to roll us down a collectivist hill littered with "mutual" responsibility signs. Would John McCain do any better with the viewpoint at the RNC? Check out their daily themes:

This year's Republican National Convention's Monday had "Serving a Cause Greater than Self." Tuesday was "Service," Wednesday was "Reform" and Thursday was "Peace."

The first two days, incredibly, were devoted to sacrificing yourself to the state. John-boy, could you not find even one day to devote to liberty? Is fascism the new codeword for "freedom"? Did they even mention the Constitution at the RNC? Where have all the small government Republicans gone?

Actually, I know. They were across the river in Minneapolis at the Rally for the Republic hosted by the Campaign for Liberty (click the link and maybe you could be the 100,000th member). At least some Americans still believe in freedom and understand that its main obstacle to full expression is government. Anarchy it is not. I merely reference the vision of the Founders of this country and what they left to their posterity.

The current "leadership" of both major parties behave as if liberty is compatible with spying on Americans and maybe even allowing them to keep a percentage of what they earn each year. Does the federal government own you and the fruits of your labor? In most dictionaries, that reality is tantamount to slavery.

In "John Obama's" playbook, that's just "mutual responsibility" and "serving a cause greater than the self." Who remembers that we were founded to be a constitutional republic and NOT a democracy, much less a fascist or socialist nation? Do we even learn from history? A vote for evil empire Democrats and Republicans is a vote for slavery. How can a man (or woman) vote for his (or her) own enslavement?

I suppose that is only possible in a "free" country, when the people do not even know that they are in an unconstitutional cage. This is why I speak of nutrition every week on my radio show. A nutritionally deficient, drug-dependent population is much easier to control and manipulate than a healthy one. Our constitutional-deficiency disease is made possible by the lack of nutrients in our food.

Radical? No. Putting fluoride in the water is radical.

Voting for "change" that is really more of the same is evidence of immaturity at the very least, and insanity if immaturity is ruled out. If you believe that you have no choice in this election because it's only John and Barack, then you've made my point about slavery. Slaves have no choice. A free people ALWAYS have a choice.

Did I hear that the federal government just nationalized half of the mortgage industry yesterday? What do they call it when a strong central government takes over private industry? Venezuela? Nope.

Headline: You Owe $455,000 "According to the Government Accounting Office, each American household owes $455,000. This is your share of the $53 trillion in long-term liabilities held by the U.S." How do you spell economic slavery? F-E-D.

Did you authorize such expenditures leading to the indebtedness of your grandchildren? The Keynesians are squirming as Ron Paul is looking more correct everyday regarding the bankrupt inevitability of relying on a debased currency for economic stability.

The Austrian school of economic thought has always been grounded in a principled understanding of the Law of Cause and Effect. The Fiat Money Masters have excelled in the sleight-of-hand tricks made famous by black-hatted illusionists of the international banking cartels. What was it Jesus said about the "money changers"? Beware. We didn't and the people of planet earth stand on the precipice of a global economic catastrophe brought about by our reliance on paper money created from thin air.

What do Democrats and Republicans propose as a solution? More spending, more taxes and more indebtedness. How did we ever let children into positions of such power? Some of you might try to claim that Republicans are not for more spending and taxes. What are you smoking? John McCain is all about another bailout. With what money? That which is created by the FED from thin air and then used to enslave you and your heirs in a never-ending cycle of boom-bust-boom-bust until now when it just goes bust-bust-bust. How do we get a bust reduction? Restore sound money to the landscape. Since the Constitution has not yet officially been repealed, I believe that Article One, Section 10 still applies:

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

How is increased spending a tax if taxes are not specifically raised in support of that spending? Inflation. Inflation is a tax?

It is actually the worst and most insidious because it occurs without the consent of the governed. Ron Paul, in his questioning of Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke last week, actually got him to admit in congress that inflation IS a tax. Dude! You want a litmus for candidates for the presidency? Ask them if they believe that the Federal Reserve System is part of the government. If they answer "yes" they are immediately disqualified for being too dumb to head the Executive branch.

When your children are born into a half-million dollars of debt at the time of their first breath and the politicians only work to increase it -- you know that the economic inmates are running the asylum. Vote McCain and Obama for more of the same. The only change you'll get are the clad coins that become worth more than their face value as Bernanke's printing presses run 24-7 to delay the inevitable. Too bad they made it illegal to melt down pennies and nickels to sell for their scrap value, as it now exceeds their denominated value. Inflation is immoral, unethical and used to be punished by death. I only hope that it does not result in the death of our nation. It does not have to.
