General welfare my as-pirin! This is specific welfare in the form of corporatism for the industries which are about to be granted millions of new customers, by force and fraud. Why would they do that? Follow the money.

Fed, state and local government hold billions of dollars of stock in the drug and vaccine industry. Regulators are not charged with protecting the public, but with protecting the stock portfolio of government. Can conflict of interest get any bigger or more devious? Under the guise of helping those with no health insurance, the feds have guaranteed that drug company stocks will be healthier than the economies of seven star systems.

Call them out. Democrats have become the deadly shills for the Pharmaceutical Industrial Complex, the 3rd leading cause of death annually in the United States of America, according the the Starfield Report published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in the year 2000. Well over 2 million Americans have perished since that peer-reviewed article was published a decade ago.

Obama and the Democrats want to institutionalize that as a solution for the so-called health care crisis? Need I actually write who or what really needs to be institutionalized? Message to both Democrats and Republicans:

Power corrupts. Corporatism corrupts absolutely.

You want healing available to all? Freedom from choice is not the answer.
Liberty is not found in a pill bottle unless you are in favor of monopoly insurance mandates for the industry responsible for being the 3rd leading cause of death every year. Your government is on drugs and the drug stocks they are desperately trying to keep propped up by force. This is not compassion, this is lunacy.

Stop being a Coppertop before you are bled dry with FDA-approved leeches.

“Raucous, full house meets MO Sen. McCaskill” Eyewitness report by Christopher Barr

The crowd spilled over into the lobby for the town hall meeting with Senator Claire McCaskill at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri 8/10/09.

The response from the crowd indicated that the sentiment was predominantly against the health bills currently before Congress.

First of all, credit where credit is due regarding Sen. McCaskill.

“Nothing here is manufactured. You people are all good Americans,” McCaskill responded to one who protested reports that those against the current bills are un-American, and part of an organized campaign by insurance companies and Republicans.

McCaskill emphasized problems with health insurance companies thoughout the meeting.

The senator also emphasized health insurance company profits increasing more than six-fold from the year 2000 to the year 2007.

However, McCaskill did not emphasize problems with the pharmaceutical industry or their profits increasing far greater than health insurance companies.

In other words, the senator failed to note that the current bills predominantly address the smaller issue of health insurance rather than the much greater matter of health care.

McCaskill opened the meeting by showing a very large serving bowl filled with questions both hand-written and sent by way of e-mail. The senator said questions would be drawn from the bowl to keep things fair.

Fairly early in the Q and A there was a voice question taken by the senator from one detailing her personal contact with the senator’s office whose query was generally supportive of the bill.

Cries of “she’s a plant” were voiced all around the area of my seating.

McCaskill often took voice questions thereafter turning attention back to the bowl filled with questions when voices escalated.

The senator showed herself to be a very deft politician as the bowl filled with questions appeared to be a fall back retreat position rather than a device to keep things fair.

On the other hand, the crowd was often unruly and that is not productive, as well as providing an excuse for the senator to hide behind.

One of the written “questions” was a tirade against President Obama, the senator and all democrats that contained no question at all.

Another written query asked “Where’s the birth certificate?” A health care meeting is not the appropriate forum for this whether that question has merit or not.

“Democracy depends on an informed electorate,” is an oft stated maxim.

“Election depends on keeping voters uninformed, under informed, or downright misinformed,” wrote blogger Ched MacQuigg recently.

The electorate at the TRCC town hall was not informed that the current bills primarily address health insurance more so than health care.

The elected official did not inform the gathered electorate of this fact though acknowledging with one brief mention that pharmaceutical profits from just the MediCare Part D plan increased at least $6 billion dollars annually. Just that one portion of pharmaceutical profits doubles the total health insurance profits that Senator McCaskill addressed again and again.

The main points demonstrated at the TRCC town hall were of an electorate that is angry and of an elected official that is a clever politician.

Solutions to escalating health care costs or for increasing quality of health care were nowhere to be found.

Drugmerica, Depressed Teens and Gardasil for Boys?

Good Insurance is a Dangerous Thing or Why I Learned to Stop Worrying and Embrace Freedom

US Loses Too Many Lives over Lack of Health Insurance "...estimates that between 18,000 and 22,000 adults aged 25-64 die each year in the U.S. because they lack insurance." I would argue that good medical insurance is a dangerous thing because it insures that you will be sent for invasive and often unnecessary medical interventions, some of which may leave you worse than the problem with which you started.

The Families USA report, named “Dying for Coverage,” says people without health insurance are more likely to delay seeking care because of the high bills, which means disease such as cancer are diagnosed at a later, more deadly stage.

Yes, but that belies the fact that people with no medical intervention often live the same length of time or longer than those receiving the big three from oncology. Additionally, the quality of life in those receiving no treatment scores much higher than those brutalized by BIG PHARMA.

Allopathic medicine sells its services through fear. The insurance industry sells its products through fear. These are not necessarily noble professions beyond reproach. Fear itself is a primary cause of disease which feeds the very industry that profits off of the very problems it creates for trusting patients.

Yes, cancer can be scary, but there is something even more frightening. Allopathic cancer TREATMENT.

I am all for your freedom to choose which medical (or non-medical) route you wish to go should you be duly diagnosed, but why must a monopoly exist, when medical freedom is much superior? Do we like being slaves to government sanctioned treatment protocols?

I would posit that one of the greatest mistakes made by the Western world's population has been to turn over the care of their bodies to elitists in league with the one entity that can destroy life, liberty and property "legally." That would be government, just in case you were not paying attention. By the way, rapt biological attention is much less expensive than paying with your life. On average 784,000 Americans do pay with their lives every year because of their misplaced trust in Big Government and Big PHARMA.

Government and allopathic medicine do not mix unless you desire pharmaceutical slavery as a way of life. Don't cry to Hillary. Her ears are plugged with the cotton pulled from prescription pill bottles along with Obama's. Do I pick on the Democratic presidential candidates unfairly? Ask them why they are key sponsors of S.1375 - The MOTHERS ACT (S. 1375: Mom’s Opportunity to Access Health, Education, Research, and Support for Postpartum Depression Act), a bill that would corral all moms-to-be in an SSRI round-up rodeo.

If anything, I am being too kind.

Where is John McCain? He's been absent on the issue. I suspect he is already on many of the meds that would be forced on post-partum moms if the horrific S.1375 should ever become law.

First they came for your daughters with dangerous HPV shots. Then they came for moms-to-be and new moms with Prozac and Paxil and there were apparently no men left to defend them, for they were stationed all over planet earth chasing McCain's demons.

If we wait 100 years, will there be anybody left? We are not losing lives due to a lack of health insurance. Lives are lost when we look at every disease as a deficiency of FDA approved pharmaceutical drugs -- or a lack of insurance to be able to afford them. What we've really lost is our minds.

Maybe that's why Ms. Rodham-Clinton wants "free" Zoloft zones funded with your tax dollars. Let's start with her donors first, shall we?

Click Here. The law mandated the expansion of Medicaid... "On July 1, state law requires every adult to have health insurance if affordable plans are available. There are many options." None of the options include good nutrition and a lack of drugs as a fundamental starting point -- so how can they call it "health" insurance? The demise of a free people is certainly in evidence when its government spends more time telling its citizenry what it must do, rather than defending the individual liberty of each one of its inhabitants from such encroachment.

There is a document that prescribes a remedy for this freedom-deficiency disease, if only our public servants would read it. It's called the Constitution (for these united States of America). Where is it that mandated health insurance for the medical monopoly is listed as an enumerated power of our government? Go ahead, try and find it. It's not there.

Some Americans know that if a law is repugnant to the Constitution it is null and void as a matter of fact. Is there a frame of reference so that those indoctrinated in public schools understand this basic concept? Perhaps they could teach the Supreme Court case where this was made most obvious: Marbury vs. Madison.

If not, the next thing you know, the government will force children to get vaccinated and take pharmaceutical drugs for biologically unverifiable behavioral disorders. That would never happen, would it? Our government would never grow beyond its constitutionally limited functions to trample on freedom. Actually, millions of Americans are begging to have their rights trampled upon in the rush for something mislabeled as "universal" health care. Camel dung by any other name would smell as ripe.

Let's call forced Medicaid what it really is: medical fascism. What is "single-payer" health insurance? Socialized (allopathic) medicine. You surely are not under the impression that Hillary Clinton is going to pay for your herbs, minerals and homeopathic medicine, are you? The millions clamoring for socialism are under the false impression that our health care crisis is the result of free market medicine. We have not had a free market for health care in many decades. Maybe we should heed the words of a humble physician:

"Should we move to, toward a socialized system, or should we look to the marketplace to help us sort out the problems we have in medicine? My argument, of course, is always looking for the answers in the free market, in private choices, and in individuals dealing with those problems, rather than depending on the state." - Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul

If you desire freedom, government can never grant it. Despite what you see in the mainstream media, there are millions of Americans who want nothing to do with government mandates for pharmaceutical medicine. Would you deny them their freedom just because you believe that you should have free drugs provided by a single payer (the federal government)? Health care is not a right. A right, by definition, cannot be a right if you must steal from others to exercise it. If you are willing to use government to rob your neighbor for what you perceive to be your right to health care, then you are no better than a petty criminal. Actually, you may be worse, because rather than risking your own life to steal, you hide behind the power of government to take what is not yours.

Where do you suppose they're going to get the money to pay for it all when your neighbor runs out? Oh yeah, President Bush will likely propose to nationalize the Federal Reserve and send a check for a million dollars to everyone to help cover drug costs. Of course, by then it will take a wheel barrow full of money just to pay for an aspirin.

The only solution to this problem is freedom. If there were a true free market for health care, homeopaths, herbalists, nutritionists and other holistic health care providers could compete side by side with allopathic physicians for your business. Removing third party payers (HMO's, government and the like) would reduce costs significantly overnight. Allowing ALL forms of healing to see the light of day in a market unencumbered by nanny-state protectionism would force producer prices down to reasonable fees affordable to all but the poorest. Who will fill in the gap for them when government gets out of the way?

You mean that churches and other private charities might also be free to help those most economically challenged? I know that it's stunning to consider that anything can get done without relying on government, especially in a nation founded upon the concept that each individual should be free to lead a life sans government encroachment. The truth is that government destroyed health care in America, not the free market. It was the government that granted allopathic medicine a monopoly over all health care to the destruction of all things natural. It used to be that "we the people" did not want government to grant titles of nobility. Just look at what Dr. Benjamin Rush (medical doctor and signer of The Declaration of Independence) predicted at the dawning of our new nation:

"Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship to restrict the art of healing to one class of men and deny equal privileges to others; the Constitution of the Republic should make a special privilege for medical freedoms as well as religious freedom."

It is disheartening to consider that millions of Americans think so little of freedom that they are willing to turn their bodies over to the government for their "health" care. Freedom works if we would only give it a try once again.

While I am on the subject of freedom, are there any more Ron Pauls in the house? It sure would be nice to get at least one in The White House. We've had enough lawyers already. Isn't it time to give an honest doctor a shot?
