Presidential ‘Trick or Treat’?

‘Swine Flu Cases Overestimated?’ read the headline of a CBS News story last week.

The article resulted from some old fashioned journalistic legwork by CBS investigators after not receiving requested statistical information about the swine flu for more than two months from the Centers for Disease Creationtrol and Promoevention (CDC) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The gist of the lengthy investigative piece was that only 1-2 per cent of suspected flu cases were of the H1N1 variety according to most of the state laboratories actually conducting such testing.

“If you’ve been diagnosed ‘probable’ or ‘presumed’ 2009 H1N1 or ‘swine flu’ in recent months, you may be surprised to know this: odds are you didn’t have H1N1 flu,” opened the CBS piece.

“In fact, you probably didn’t have flu at all. That's according to state-by-state test results obtained in a three-month-long CBS News investigation,” continued the CBS story opening.

Indeed, the really big numbers across the board among the tens of thousands tested throughout all the states varied from an absence of any flu at all in from 83 up to 97 per cent among those suspected of having some kind of flu.

Oops.

The CDC gave no response to CBS for its report.

CDC plays numbers game

The unofficial media house organ of the CDC over at Associated Propagandaess (AP) published a report (ghost written by CDC?) the day following airing of the CBS news report that appears to be a CDC response.

“Many millions” of Americans are estimated by the CDC director to have had swine flu according to the AP piece. Yet AP isolated the phrase ‘many millions’ in quotes as though even they didn’t believe this.

“The government doesn’t test everyone to confirm swine flu so it doesn’t have an exact count,” continued Mike Stobbe, AP medical writer/propagandist.

Actually, the government doesn’t test anyone by their own admission. They ceased doing so more than three months ago. They couldn’t know “any millions” let alone “many millions”.

You have to watch the words of AP and CDC more closely than the pea of shell game operators in order to figure out where the truth is hidden.

“There are at least two different types of flu causing illnesses; tests from about 5,000 patients suggest that nearly all the flu cases are swine flu,” the article notes without disclosing whether that is according to the CDC or to AP.

The true figure is closer to 4,000 patients so they have rounded up the number for exaggerated effect so it should not be surprising that the “nearly all” true figure of flu cases that are swine flu is actually closer to slightly more than regular flu cases. Yet the most telling figure of all is left untold by AP as to the tens of thousands without flu at all among the suspected flu cases tested. That dwarfs the swine flu cases many times over.

Other news agencies report that both incidences and deaths attributed to swine flu are higher than usually found at this point of the flu season. However, this is the usual start of the flu season while the swine flu totals cover more than a seven month period about equal to the whole, normal flu season. The 1,000 American swine flu deaths alleged in that seven month period is only about 2 per cent of the total deaths usually attributed to the seven months of the normal flu season.

Swine flu figures are looking shakier than a bad normal flu.

Worldwide swine flu deaths in seven months are said to be closing in on 5,000 according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

What else does WHO say?

“Worldwide … about 250,000 to 500,000 deaths,” are attributed annually to a normal flu according to WHO’s own fact sheet (http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs211/en/ ).

That means that worldwide swine flu deaths represent only about 2 per cent of total deaths usually attributed to a normal flu.

Next up – the President of the United States

President Obama stepped up to the table the day after the AP/CDC day after follow-up to the CBS ‘Swine Flu Cases Overestimated?’ exposé with a White House declaration of a National State of Emergency regarding the swine flu.

Yet the facts don’t bear out a swine flu emergency.

Is Obama just fooled or just foolin’ U.S.?

A Presidential declaration of a National State of Emergency regarding swine flu invokes several provisions from a wide variety of laws and executive orders including the Homeland Security Act, the BioShield Act of 2004, BARDA, the Model States Health Emergency Powers Act, and many others. These bring potentials for civil rights infringements (forced vaccination/quarantine possibilities) as well as protections against liabilities of pharmaceuticals for lawsuits from damages caused by vaccinations and medications.

Freedom of Information Act requests may also be rendered null and void negating the possibility of an exposé such as that by CBS just two days prior to the Presidential declaration of a National State of Emergency regarding the swine flu.

Fooled or foolin’?

President Obama has addressed Wall Street greed, excess compensations and profits of varying groups, and redistribution of wealth both recently and in the past.

Most recently the health insurance industry has been targeted for greed and excessive profits. Yet news reports the past few days show health insurance industry profits declining in recent years and considerably behind dozens of others.

Health insurance increases are responses at least in part due to increased drug prices that rise much more steeply than health insurance increases – on average exceeding twice the rate of inflation so as not simply to be a matter of cost of living.

Nary a word has escaped the mouth of the President regarding pharmaceutical greed. Pharmaceutical costs – and profits – make up a significantly greater share of health care costs than health insurance or any other health care costs.

Yet the only urgency apparent for emergency regarding swine flu is protection for pharmaceutical profits.

Fooled or foolin’ indeed.

Expensive Drugs Expanding Market for Dietary Supplements in Deficient Economy

Headline: Weak Economy Has Many Skipping Doctors, Turning to Herbal Supplements "Whole Foods Market Inc. says its stores nationwide have seen an increase in sales of nutritional supplements and herbal products in the past several weeks."

The complaint used to be that dietary supplements were too expensive. But that was when health consumers were shielded from the true cost of pharmaceutical dependence by 3rd party payers (semi-private and government insurance). Now that jobs and health insurance coverage are being lost, the real economic costs of disease management vs. health care are being revealed.

Could the natural products industry be set to explode by default? When the people can't afford drugs, turning to dietary supplements is the next logical progression. Unless, of course, you believe that the answer is cheaper drugs from Mexico and Canada. I don't care how cheap you can find them, diabetes drugs, for instance, can NEVER reverse diabetes. GTF Chromium, however, a dietary food supplement CAN reverse diabetes for pennies on the dollar. Just don't ask the manufacturer to admit it. For the sake of their survival in our pharmaceutical tyranny, they will rightly disavow any knowledge of it.

Where do we go from here? The return of Hillary-care under Obama is the only way that the pharmaceutical industrial complex can maintain its monopoly stranglehold on nearly 15% of the U.S. GDP. Note to my Democratic friends:

"It is not to help the poor, but to enrich the elites."

Why do you think that environmental groups are petitioning the EPA to ban colloidal silver? To save the environment? Are you on "earth-muffin" drugs? Any tool that can increase the health sovereignty of the individual will come under increasing attack as the current medical-social order decays. It is decaying precisely because of the Federal Reserve-engineered economic collapse.

"The doctors are so much higher (in cost), the insurance isn't paying as much..."

Yeah, that's the superficial symptom, but the cure is most definitely NOT Socialized Medicine. What, dare say, could it be? Freedom. Sadly, this is something for which millions of Americans apparently no longer have the stomach.

I wonder if socialized medical mandates will include gastroenterologist intervention for anyone duped into believing that nutrition can prevent and reverse disease (and that drugs cannot). They already propose surgical removal of stomach parts for obese diabetic children, so how much more ludicrous and barbaric can it get? I am not sure that I want to know.

Paul Revere, where are you? The FDA is coming! The FDA is coming! Do you think that Barack Obama has a clue?

With the economy tanking, will you cower in fear and beg for a handout or stand up to the artificial creations of the state, including the bureaucratic oligarchy that stifles healing innovation and freedom? The people of the three branches of government have precipitated and continue to allow the health care (disease management) crisis to flourish. Should we look to them to solve the very problems they create?

I have a dream. A dream that Barack Obama recognizes that it is government that poses the biggest obstacle to health freedom and subsequently calls for an end to the reign of the bureaucratic oligarchy known as FDA.

After all, dreams are free; government handouts are not.

"Beware the Media Hype on Winter Influenza" or "Why the Grinch Should Take Your T.V." (for health's sake)

Is there a pharmaceutical bias in the media?

Every winter the news media does a sensationalist job of frightening millions into believing that illness is the result of a pharmaceutical drug- or vaccine-deficiency. A recent study published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine [Vol 178. pp. 527-533, (2008)] reports that there is actually no statistically significant reduction in mortality between the elderly who get the 25 mcg-mercury-containing flu shot and those who do not. Where is the media's focus on good nutrition and quality supplementation instead? It makes you wonder if mainstream news reporters have ever stepped foot into a health food store before.

In reality, the reason that many people are more susceptible to flu and other respiratory conditions during the winter months is due to dietary insufficiency, not media fear-mongering about shots.

The holiday season brings with it ample opportunity for overindulgence in rich foods and excessive amounts of animal protein. The resulting digestive burden upsets the delicate intestinal balance responsible for much of the body's immune capacities. Undue digestive stress and the inevitable liver congestion that follows precipitates the "outbreaks" blamed on "what's going around." This is where we discover the critical difference in biological maturity evidenced in Antoine Béchamp's Law of the Terrain versus the immature and superficial concepts found in Louis Pasteur's so-called Germ Theory.

Which of the following is correct?

A. "It is the mere presence of, or contact with, a pathogen that results in disease."

B. "It is the terrain, milieu or environment that determines health or disease, NOT the pathogen."

If you chose "B" for Béchamp, go to the head of the class. Antoine is the wise elder who understood nature and Pasteur was the adolescent teenager tilting at microbes (at least until he recanted "germ worship" on his death bed - but that was much later).

Thankfully, there are some simple steps that you can take to keep your family healthy and happy during the coldest months of the year (actually, all year long as well). Reduce the stress on your liver and digestive system by going more natural and organic while simultaneously ingesting smaller portions. In other words, clean up that which goes into your body, so that it is no longer too exhausted to get rid of toxins that have been accumulating for many years.

Then, even if you do enjoy the occasional dessert, it will not be devastating (especially if you take your GTF Chromium). Again, quality is key. Organic treats will not be compounded with enzymatic disruptors from artificial additives such as synthetic preservatives, colorings, flavors and sweeteners.

If you happen to make a mess anyway, remember to clean it up with Orange TKO.

If your relatives are reluctant to consider a better lifestyle over the flu shot this holiday season, you might consider dressing up as the Grinch for Christmas and remove their television. Why? Perhaps the greatest gift you could give someone you love is to unplug them from the pharmaceutically-biased mainstream media.

They won't get the flu shot (Boo-hoo Julie Gerberding) and when their fear goes away, they will thank you.

Guest Commentary by Christopher C. Barr: “FDA, Roche warn doctors on Tamiflu dangers,” declared a bold news headline this week from the major Reuters news service.

Roche warned doctors about their Tamiflu drug in a recent letter of “some cases resulting in fatal outcomes”. In plain English that means there are people dying linked to use of their drug.

This is old news to those in Japan where such warnings have been given since 2005.

The FDA at that time asserted Tamiflu was safe and did not require any warning in America noting “we cannot say definitively there is a causal relation between the drug and the children’s deaths,” according to then FDA Deputy Commissioner Dr. Murray Lumpkin.

That response parroted the statement days earlier from Roche (producer of the drug Tamiflu) “that a causal link cannot be established”.

The inference was to downplay the Japanese warnings as an exaggerated response.

The simple fact was that Tamiflu usage in Japan far exceeded that of both the United States and of every nation in the world combined. The Japanese warning noted 12 deaths of children, and countless incidences of delirium, hallucinations, convulsions and encephalitis while using that drug.

The FDA received reports of more than twice as many child deaths and in excess of 700 other episodes with Tamiflu usage all the way last spring. Why did it take until this next year and almost the end of flu season before FDA and industry warnings were sounded? Is the priority to protect consumers or to protect multi-billion dollar drug $ale$?

The mainstream (polluted stream) media did their part to downplay the seriousness of this matter by changing in the afternoon the original morning headline noted above to, “Flu drug makers change labels over behavior issue.”

Death by modern mediSin is now a “behavior issue”?!?!?!?

Note the ambiguity and non-specific nature of the new headline. Both the offending (and offensive) government approver and pharmaceutical producer of the drug are removed along with the name of the drug as well – which again is Tamiflu. The new headline is also non-threatening with information about doctors being warned and dangers now absent.

Another instance of the unholy trinity of BIG government, BIG pharma and BIG media acting together as one for their own vested interests decidedly not in the best interest of you and yours.

Did I mention that Tamiflu sales are significantly paid for with taxpayer dollars?

Pattern emerging

Also in just the past week alone studies indicate serious problems with two other longstanding drug therapies by which pharmaceutical phirms have profited countless billion$ of dollar$ by way of what appears to be phraud both phinancial and of $cience.

The alleged benefits from hormone replacement therapy have been found lacking or even absent and worse as some areas promoted for protection are actually endangered.

The alleged benefits from antidepressant drugs have also been called into question as greatly exaggerated.

FDA approved, pharmaceutically produced drugs are being revealed with the passing of time as bad science to such a degree as to make dependence upon the FDA , pharmaceutical phirms and the modern mediSin that practices upon people as unsound and even foolish practice.
